( -has a really bad feeling- i feel down guys. my mom was just told she'd have to stay in the hospital until they could be sure the cancer cells were gone. it's not unusual now but she looked so broken when they told her... i think she misses being a real mom. <//3 sorry if my responses are shit now )
Xav nodded in agreement to her words, responding to them physically on a lower scale than how he did mentally. Her words summed up his existence pretty well. Everyone has it coming to them. How could he argue with that? That's how his stepfather had always justified killing his mother, how he justified making his stepson beat the shit out of demons - in ways even considered cruel to the scariest of hunters. Coraline had no idea that she'd just stuck a chord with Xav and he'd like to keep it that way. He then had to chuckle at her little story. "You're an angel," he agreed, sarcastically of course. It was rare for the chocolate haired boy to ever be really serious, it was always easier to keep a warm, half-assed composure around others so they weren't startled and frightened off by his intensity. "Ever done something nice for anyone else?" the question kind of came out of nowhere. To be honest, Xav wasn't a truly terrible person. He was a thief and he's done some things he isn't proud of but he helped out at hospitals with his hunting partner, Giselle. (i don't know i have felt like they would make a good pair for some reason ~) He enjoyed making patients laugh and making them forget about the fact that they have an iv and are very sick. He also liked to watch Giselle with the kids. The way they admired her made him feel a strange sense of pride, after all, his partner was important to him. Not romantically like some rumors said, but more in a platonic kind of bond.
Giselle nearly jumped out of her skin when the sound of sharp claps reached her ears. Her golden gaze took no time finding the source and she couldn't help the tiny shiver or the way her stomach fluttered in what she assumed was severe nervousness. Kastiel stood up on the balcony, the light giving him an ethereal glow, as though he was an avenging angel, cast down from heaven. There goes her writing brain again, she admitted to herself that he did look otherworldly though. His words made her heart still for a moment in her chest. The praise warmed something inside that she didn't want to think about and opened her mouth to reject being called a killer - it made her feel awful inside. Yet, he interrupted her with that smooth voice of his. When he bowed, she felt kind the most random urge to giggle. Though she was a warm, heartfelt girl, she rarely ever giggled. So distracted was she, that she hadn't noticed her ear was bleeding a little. When she did however, her sensitive ears caused her to flinch. Putting a hand to her own ear and grimacing. Giselle, sweet little Giselle began to cuss like a sailor, before breaking off in accusing words, "That bitch, she got my fucking ear! What kind of sick, twisted piece of -" and then she broke off, realizing she was in the company of another student. A soft blush filled her cheeks and she awkwardly stuck her fingers into her front jean pockets, trying to pretend she just didn't go off in front of this man. "T-Thank you," she finally broke the little silence, her golden eyes finally meeting his. She wasn't one to be bashful, so she looked him right in the eye.
"Kitty, that hurts," Sid whined, though his smirk only grew. Careful not to touch Wess, he stole the ipad from his hands and looked over the screen carefully. Kas had never let him have anything like this, so he was kind of unsure what exactly to do with it. He leaped back a few rows, so that the cat-boy couldn't steal the obviously prized possession back without a struggle. "Haven't you missed me and my adorableness?" he questioned, pretending to be wounded, his lower lip pouting out like it always did when he didn't get what he wanted. A childish habit, but one that he'd never grown out of. It amused him to see the look of shock on his face turn into one akin of disgust. Yeah, Wess didn't want to be teased, that was for sure. Well too damn bad. Looks like kitty boy was going to have to get used to it because Sid found it way too amusing.

-squuezes- awe im sorry about that mo </3
Wess's gaze jerked up as his tablet was stolen from his arms, but he quickly dropped his gaze back down, shifting uncomfortably, "Don't call me that." He muttered, curling his tail around his waist, "No I haven't missed you -- the last time I was in your presence I was... Mauled, for lack of a better word. And you aren't adorable." He said as well, pulling his knees to his chest, "And be careful with that!" He snapped at Sidriel as the demon leaped down the bleachers. With his emotions and reactions to the other boy at the forefront of his mind he was feeling uncomfortable and irritable, especially since Sidriel felt it ok to mock him and what he had said... Repeatedly...

((-Squeezes- I'm so sorry bee... I'm sure everything'll be okay. <3 She'll always be a true mother to you, even if she is in the hospital... And when she recovers all the way, she'll be so happy to be back with the rest of your family. <3 <3))
Coralines eyes flashed. Nicest thing? She really had to think about that. She tapped her cheek, gazing away with a concentrated brow. "Hmm... Probably the time that I saved a bird from getting mauled." She said, looking back up at Xav. She had never actually told anyone the story, mainly because well, no one had ever asked her about anything nice she had done. She figured no one even thought it possible for her to be nice. "It had fallen out of it's nest, and I just knew that a cat was going to snatch it up, so I brought it to my house when I was little and I fed it, and gave it water and love." A smile lit to her face as she remembered the sweet memories, she had never loved something more than she had loved that little bird. "And when it was healthy and old enough I went outside with him and he flew away... I swear, I think I still see him sometimes - but, I'm rambling." She was actually a bit caught off guard, she didn't want to say that last part. A little too carried away she guessed. "What about you?"
Kastiel's eyes widened at her stream of vulgar vocabulary, then he burst out laughing, eyes wide with glee. "My my! Didn't expect for such bold language!" His laughter refused to die down, even when he stepped up to her. It was only when he took his handkerchief out of his pocket that he gave a cheerful little exhale. For some reason he felt different around this girl. Surely, he still wanted to control her - there was never a better feeling than having someone depend on you, to limit their wills. But, he felt happier doing so, and unlike others, the thought of getting her seriously injured did not tickle him. "Here," He reached up and tied her ear with the blue piece of cloth to halt the bleeding. He pulled his hands back after a moment, touching his hand gently to their chin and leaning her face up to the shafts of light so he could get a closer look. His eyes and smile bore into her. "I suppose not everyone can escape getting cut up sometimes, huh?" A smile hugged one cheek as he tilted his head a bit. "So tell me, minette, what's your name?" Her eyes were like harvest moons, big, yellow, full of promise.

Sid rolled his eyes when he said that he was mauled. This kid had no idea what Kastiel could have really done. He flipped his hair out of his eyes, one eyebrow raised slightly as he peered at the older boy. He didn't seem older, except for those times when he tried to act all mature and shit. Today, the youngest Thantos was actually dressed decently, though his black v-neck sweater was way too thin to really provide much warmth. Sid had on a pair of draw string sweatpants too, and a pair of black cleats. On top of his unruly mop of hair and with holes for his horns, rested a baseball cap. "Not adorable, huh? You thought so yesterday, kitty," he told the other boy, his voice an octave lower than it usually was, for he was almost whispering, keeping his voice low. Moving back over to Wess, though holding the ipad away, he loomed over the neko. "You came to see me try out didn't you though, kitty?" he murmured, lifting the chin of Wess very carefully, his eyes boring into those amber ones. All the girlfriends of the boys who were trying out and had come to watch, awed and blushed when Sid placed a chaste little kiss on the very corner of the other boys lips. Sometimes he could touch others, even if he himself refused to be touched by anyone.
Xav loved her expression when she talked about the bird she rescued. "A very noble cause," he praised her lightly, watching her expression falter when she thought she'd been rambling. "Don't apologize for sharing your story, I enjoy hearing little details. They mean the most in the end, you know?" he asked, very quietly, almost as though to himself. It took him a good five minutes to think of something worthy of a good mention. He finally came up with a moment he would forever hold dear to his heart. "There was this little kid, he was just a tiny thing. Had a tough life. Father was involved in the mafia, and his mother was an drunk. I would love to say I broke down the doors and rescued the kid like a valiant knight, but sadly, I'm no hero. Instead I offered him some of my food one day. Slowly got him to open up to me and steadily kept him off the path of depression and insanity. It may seem small but I feel like it's one of the best things I ever did," Xav admitted, his eyes boring into hers, showing her that he wasn't making any of this up. He truly wasn't "the good guy" he would probably never be the good guy. Just because he did a few things that showed some of his more redeeming qualities, doesn't mean he should be put on a horse and given a sword like the brave knights of old. He wasn't looking to impress her, just speaking the truth. Xav as real like that, he was rarely ever fake.
Giselle felt her heartbeat quicken when he began to step closer to her. His laughter made her want to bow her head in faint embarrassment but she had never found the timid girl to be becoming of herself. Instead she watched as Kastiel came to stand before her, feeling the warm breath slightly flutter the tips of her ears. She was small in comparison to anybody but Kas made her feel like a midget. The drawbacks of being a student who skipped grades and started college at 17. "Je suis désolée for my language," she murmured quietly, then relaxing a bit as he wrapped a makeshift bandage around her ear. She held aside her shivers, trying to ignore the strange part of her that was festering up inside. When his hand tucked under her chin and gently angled it upwards, her eyes flashed in the pale light of the setting sun, taking in his face carefully. His black hair appeared thick but she bet it was soft as kitten fur and his eyes, though unsettling, bore into her, as did his smile. "Merci, thank you. I let myself get distracted," she admitted, analyzing her work briefly and finding multiple errors she would have to work out with Xav. "My partner will be anxious when he sees the cut, though not more than my brother," she almost shudders at the thought of Wess freaking out. Maybe she should hide out a Xav's place until it healed... Her thoughts were pulled away when she realized that he had asked for her name. He was still using kitten as a pet name and though she felt the need to argue about it, something inside of her enjoyed it way too much. "My name is Giselle Rankin," she introduced herself formally, not sure if she should stick her hand out to shake or what.
( thank you both for those hugs and words of comfort, i needed them. <33 )

Wess tried hard to keep his gaze down, fighting everything inside of him that told him to raise his eyes and take in all that he was missing. He shivered, his ears perking up to try and catch every gentle wavelength coming from Sidriel's mouth. Though his voice was uneven and he was shivering as if he were standing in the cold with only his underwear on, he tried to respond, "T-today is n-not yest-terday." He whispered. He keened when Sidriel lifted his chin and kissed the corner of his mouth, before letting out a gentle sigh, staring up into that mitch-matched gaze. He shivered again, though this time the only explanation could be that he was enjoying being this close to Sidriel and he was enjoying that deep voice he was using, "I didn't know you were trying out." He whispered, honestly.

Coraline's eyes fell upon a cloud when she listened to the story... "That poor kid..." She said quietly, just loud enough for Xav to barely here. She gave him a smile, a genuine one - which she rarely ever did to anyone now. "Sounds like you really turned his life around." Being that small and lonely, she knew it would mean the world to have someone that cared about you... She found herself wondering what Xav's childhood was like, but she wouldn't ask - not yet. Taking the moment of silence between them, Coraline remarked that she was glad that Xav had waltzed in here. "Even if you steal cigarettes, at least there's SOME good bones in your body." She mused playfully. In fact, it seemed like there was a lot more than people gave the kid credit for... "You paint?" She asked suddenly. I mean, he WAS in the art room after all.
Kastiel's eyes dimmed to a glower. 'Partner...?' What did she mean by that? Lover? It didn't matter, friend or boyfriend, it was still someone close to her, someone she trained with? He tried to push the idea away, it was too early to claim her as his pet, he didn't feel like scaring her away too early... There was something special about this one... Giselle... However, he couldn't go without a bit of information about this 'partner'. "A privlege to meet you." He said with a low voice, bending and taking one of her hands between his. he planted a kiss, feeling her tendons between his lips. He stomached the urge to bite and pulled back up. "I assume you know who I am," He started, taking his scythe out so he could lean against it. "but, in case you haven't had the pleasure, I'm Kastiel Thanatos." He shed a gisnt smile from ear to ear. "Now, who's tjis little partner of yours? He has peeked my curiosity..."

"You're right, today is not yesterday. I'm more adorable today," he teased, settling back onto the bleachers in front of Wess. He placed the ipad beside him and locked his eyes with the neko. Some part of him admitted that making Wess nervous was amusing as hell but he also didn't want to push it, because he didn't want to risk the chance of being touched. So he let go of the older boy's face, though his eyes were still intense. "Well I am and you're gonna stay till the end, right kitty?" he asked, knowing he should get back to tryouts if he wanted to make the team. "I would be very upset if you went home," he pouted slightly, crossing his bony arms. The young demon was rather unashamed to admit what he wanted, which crossed out any possibilities of him being shy. You could say anything to this little shit and he'd tell you what he thought right back, as honest as he could. This made for a struggle when it came to most social interactions but overall it was a little amusing, to bystanders at least.
Her genuine smile pierced through his wall of indifference and made him feel content for the first time in a while. She hadn't chided him for his lack of heroics, but instead understood that he'd done what he could. "I tried too," he admitted with a nod, crossing a leg over his other knee. He honestly thought about the kid all the time, wondered about what kind of life he was leading now and if he was finally happy. It was a question that bothered him but not enough to actually look into it. Some part of him felt that if he knew the answer, it would ruin the memory for him, for some reason. "I suppose there are," Xav grinned at her widely, once more hidden behind his mask but his eyes were good at showing his amusement. Coraline honestly wasn't that bad to be around, he rather enjoyed it actually. Was she the kindest person out there? No, but neither was he and she made him grin like an idiot. That was saying something because Xav was usually an emotionless husk just kind of going through the motions. "Actually I don't," the young thief admitted, rubbing a hand across the back of his neck briefly. This was an art class but he had never painted a day in his life, he'd just needed the credits for graduation. Gym and sports were always more his style.
Giselle watched his eyes dim, a little fascinated. She was startled when his hand grabbed hers, for she was a little lost in those pupil-less eyes of his. Ducking her head a bit when he kissed her hand, she felt some small shivers tremble down her spine. When he pulled away, her skin burned where his lips had brushed. Her tail twitched anxiously behind her as she pondered the feeling. Something was odd about the older Thantos, really odd. "Nice to formally meet you as well, Kastiel," she replied promptly, though her gaze was a little on the distant side. Not because she wasn't interested but because it was growing darker and she had to make it back to the school before curfew, they both did or they would be locked out. "Who, Xav? He's a senior. He's kind of difficult to work with at times but we're pretty close," she smiled then, for her fellow hunter was a second brother to her. "Oh, and I'm sorry about Wess yesterday. He's a little... um... actually, I'm not sure how to really describe him," Giselle admitted and laughed at her own expense. She'd teased him all night about his drunken-like response to his ears getting pet, and how he called Kastiel's little brother adorable.

"Bold, maybe. Not adorable." He muttered, pulling his scarf over his lips and cheeks after Sid had let him go. He looked away from the youngest Thantos' face, though not far as his gaze settled on his iPad next to the man's hip. "How much longer to the end?" Why was he even considering staying? "Please stop calling me 'kitty.' It's degrading." Wess's ear flicked for emphasis. His gaze started flicking around and he started to shink further into his scarf each time his eyes met those of the baseball player's girlfriends. Only his eyes were poking out by the time he realized that most of the baseball team itself was staring at his and Sidriel's reaction. Quickly, too quickly, Wess shot to his feet and tried to move down the bleachers, wanting so very badly to get away from all the curious faces. I knew it was a bad idea. I'm not leaving my room for a week after this. This is what happens when I try and "get out for some fresh air." The little neko's head was filled with thought after thought, but as soon as his first step caught on the wood beneath his feet and the world slowed around him as he tipped forward, his body intending on falling and rolling down the many flights of the bleachers, the only thought he could think of was that he didn't want to die. At least, not while his face was bright red from his embarrassment, with this very attractive guy calling him pet names and kissing him and stealing his tablet.

Coraline had finally finished her little sculpture by the time Xav had finished his story, it was a little cricket. The color of the clay was grey, she would have painted it if she were being more serious - but that didn't matter. She poked two little eye holes in it, and then slid it across the table to Xav. She didn't say anything, but she ad made it for him, why? Because she had nothing else better to do, and the boy reminded her of a cricket in a weird way. Quiet, yet always appearing when the time was right. "Really?" She cast him a strange look. She was quiet for a moment, but then she got an idea. With her excitement hidden, she leaned down to some cubby holes that the counter's had beneath them and pulled out some paint sets. "Wanna try?" She offered, showing him the spectrum of colors to choose from. She had a new canvas that she was saving for when he inspiration hit her, and it just so happened that this was the kind of inspiration she needed.
Kas's forked, almost snake like tongue flecked between his fangs for a moment when she brought up her little brother - Wess... The little imp that had messed with his brother, the one who he forbade from talking to again. He he the strangest feeling that Sid was speaking to him now... He tensed his knuckles, he'd give him his lecture at supper and let his brothers deal with him afterward... For now he tried to wave it off. "Well, I wouldn't say I'm particularly found of your little brother," He said, not knowing that Giselle was in face the younger of the two. He began to slowly bound down the alley and into the light of the street lamps, shoes stepping over cracks in the cement. "but so far he's been tolerable - we're just... Very protective over the youngest, you could say." Kastiel swung is scythe back in it's sheathe, arms swinging lightly at his side as he walked. "Wouldn't you know about that?" He said with a mysterious little etch in his tone, almost like a hiss of laughter.

Sid, panicking because the neko was about to land on top of him, leaped to the side. He had almost flinched back and then watched with wide eyes as Wess fell down the bleachers, some of his bones making alarming cracking sounds and some trails of blood lingering on the metal seats. (going to let you reply with wess before he jumps down)
Xav looked down at the little cricket she pushed towards him. He smiled slightly and then looked down at his own little sculpture. It was a misshapen dolphin that looked terrible to him but he pushed it towards her anyway, wincing slightly as he did so. If she was going to give him a piece of her work though, he would repay the favor. His pointer finger carefully brushed over the delicate frame of the cricket, making him smile ever so softly. He looked up however when she bent down and pulled out paint sets, making him slightly puzzled and it showed in the tilt of his head and in his big aquamarine eyes. However, he felt slightly timid, for the first time in his life when she offered for him to try painting. "Sure," he said, but there was an undertone of thankfulness in his tone that showed how much he really did want to paint. Xav looked at her expectantly, kind of like a puppy actually.
Walking after him, Giselle began to speak. "Yeah, he doesn't mean any harm.." she tried to apologize, stuffing her hands back in her pockets and lowering her head a bit, trying not to draw too much attention to herself, as was hunter protocol. "Oh, Wess is actually the oldest. I mean technically we are in the same class, but that's only because I skipped two years of school. Yeah, I know, eighteen year old in college, but really, it's not so bad. It actually worked out pretty well because my brother and I are so close and my partner was already in college. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to be in high school still but I know most of it would be too easy. Plus, I wouldn't get to train as much as I do know and I'd be all on my own since Wess would be here... not that that would be a bad thing. Sometimes he's pretty suffocating," she rambled but cut off with a blush when she realized that she was just droning on. Peeking up at him from her lashes, she offered a sweet, embarrassed smile. "Sorry, I don't usually talk this much," and that was true but for some reason she had this bad feeling in the pit of her stomach. Her watch buzzed, an alert to get back to campus soon. She sped up her pace a little, avoiding puddles, since it had rained earlier today.

((Oh my God that's so cute!! <3 <# The little dolphin he gave her OH MY GOD!!! <3 <3 <3 THAT'S THE NAME OF THEIR SHIP! The Cricket and the Dolphin!))
Coraline looked at the dolphin as he pushed it toward her, her eyes turning warm and her smile sweet and gentle. Even if it wasn't the most visually attractive thing, no one had ever made her anything... Briefly, she remembered a time when she was in first grade. She had poured her heart and soul into a macaroni painting for her dad, Meadow had too. It was shaped like a little heart, when she brought it home Meadow ran up to daddy and showed him and he beamed with pride and stuck it on the fridge. Coraline stood before her dad with her picture in her hands, but her father didn't seem to notice her - or ignored her, and walked away with Meadow on his arm. Seeing this now, her heart swelled with so much appreciation that she could just hug him, she felt like crying but that would not be acceptable. The gratitude seemed to radiate off of her as she smiled her thanks to him and picked it up in careful hands. Then, gladly her mind set shifted to painting. She stood up again and beckoned him toward her blank canvas which was already sitting on it's easel. "Painting isn't about beauty, or grace, or perfection like some think. Hell, have you seen Picasso? If that fucker's work is beautiful than someone give me the beauty pageant sash because I deserve it." Coraline slid a little table on wheels out in front of them with a bunch of paints on it. "No, painting is about what you feel in here -" she touched her heart. "and about what you think up here." she touched her head. "Think of it like this - as you go through your day, you feel a lot of things yeah? And all of those emotions are stirring like a pot in your stomach, and it sits there and boils until it finds some sort of release. When you paint, imagine you're opening up a hole in your stomach, and imagine the paint are those emotions - your brush is then no more than a broom to sweep out all the excess crap." She finished and looked at Xav for a moment before handing him the slab of wood with paint on it. "I'll start us off," she said before sticking her fingers into the orange paint. It dripped from her fingers, acrylic staining her skin but she didn't care, this was a messy job. She turned to the canvas and smacked the air, paint flying off the tips of all fingers and splotching against the canvas. "Take a note, when brushes fail to sweep out every last splash, hands work as a suitable substitute."
It was cute how Giselle got swept away, it was helpful too. Kastiel documented every word in his mind, shocked at her young age. Seemed she had the academic strength to go along with her physical strength and stealth. "I don't usually hurt people, but it's fun isn't it?" He gave and inappropriate laugh that came off as weirdly jokingly. And that was just that, he didn't add onto it as if to clarify, and he didn't add a just kidding. The buzzing of her watch caught his attention, did that mean she had to go? She was speeding away from him, Kastiel instinctively reached out and grabbed onto her wrist, tugging her back and into his arms. Her body collided with his chest but he didn't move an inch, he just looked down at her, the light from the street lamps reflecting off her hair and those harvest moon eyes. It looked as if the two were prepared to dance, Kastiel held one of her hands while the other was placed on her hip. "Leaving so soon?" He looked down at her with a little frown.

After the initial hit, the world returned to a normal pace. There was definitely sounds of broken bones in his ears, but his mind couldn't wrap around the fact that they were his broken bones. Even though his vision was filled with alternating blues and grays with a final vision of browns, Wess couldn't register that he had just fell down almost two flights of stairs. Slowly, the neko pushed himself to a sitting position as he mentally assessed himself for any injuries. When he concluded that he was perfectly fine, save for the fuzziness of his hearing in his left ear, he looked up at the bleachers. They were practically vacated, all the girls having screamed and moved out of the way as fast as possible, to scream some more or puke. Some of them were looking at him with wide eyes, their hands to their mouths as if they were going to cry. Others were, what looked like, praying. Still, others were looking at him as if he were a zombie. He almost laughed at the thought, but shook his head a little. Confused, Wess turned around to the baseball field, where the baseball players had stopped playing and were screaming. Why were they screaming? Some of them actually looked pretty mad, though only those with fear in their eyes were actually looking at the bloody neko in the dirt.
To anyone but the neko boy, it had looked like he had died with the first impact, having landed on his head, considering his body was like a ragdoll for the rest of the trip. Even though Wess couldn't feel it, due to shock perhaps, his face was covered in blood from a gash at the top of his head. His left ear was mangled and, honestly, on first glance could not be called an ear. No bones were poking out of his skin, but there was obvious bruising on his face and neck and his right arm was held at an awkward position. Maybe it was because he was part cat, nine lives and such, but other than his obvious and not-so-obvious injuries, he would live to see another day.
That was, if he didn't bleed out before he got to the hospital wing.

Now, even as a little boy, Xav had never had much. It's why he stole things, it was like there was a void he needed to fill, something in him that was restless with wanting. Only when he was really little, when his mother was still alive did he get presents. This was the first time in a long time and honestly, he didn't really know what to do with himself. His eyes assessed the cricket that was cupped in one hand, his eyes shimmering with some deep, unknown emotion. When he looked back to Coraline, he was slightly confused as to the gratitude that he could see in her eyes. Xav looked at the poorly sculpted dolphin and blinked a few times, trying to understand what she had to be so thankful about. It was just a little sculpture and yet, even Xav could sense something pass between them in that moment, some kind of understanding. Slowly standing, he shifted his shoulders a bit and ignored the looks he was getting from the other kids in the class as he moved to stand before the easel with Coraline. He listened to her talk and marveled at the girl he know saw before her. When she talked about art, she seemed to transform before his very eyes. Gone was the layer of bitchiness she seemed to hold around her and instead, a softer artistic soul was unearthed. The passion of her words let him know that art was something she truly loved. The slight softening of her features, the way her eyes became a little more unfocused, and especially the faint color that touched her cheeks. He doubted she herself was aware of these changes but it made Xav buzz with the sudden need to lean forward and kiss her. Snapping his attention to the canvas and watching the orange paint splatter, he nodded in faint understanding. However, when it looked to be his turn to make a mark, he hesitated, looking into her eyes with a sense of insecurity. "How...?" yet, his voice faded off before he could properly ask the question. For the first time he could remember, Xav was speechless.
( I actually had an image of them when they are married and Xav was playing with their children on the floor, with Coraline hanging up their newest family painting on the wall and then one of their children paused and looked up at the mantle above the fireplace and pointed out the grasshopper and the misshapen dolphin, asking why they had always sat there and where they had come from and the two just shared a secret smile... </3 holy fuck. )
Thinking that he didn't truly expect and answer, she didn't give one to his question, though her interest was piqued at what he said. Truth be told, Kastiel made her uneasy, or that's what she assumed from the strange weightless feeling in her stomach. When his fingers wrapped around her wrist, she turned her head to question him but was pulled back into a solid chest. For a moment or two, she was frozen in some sort of shock but she pulled her head up to look at him. His frown let her know that he wasn't exactly pleased with her leaving and she hadn't meant to signify that she was leaving him behind. "W-We have to get back soon, or we'll be locked out," she answered truthfully, her eyes locked on his. Giselle was more often than not an honest person after all. She didn't attempt to untangle herself from Kastiel, for she had the sense of an animal that was being preyed on and the instinct drove her to become still.
Sid could focus on nothing else. There was a crumpled body laying there and he couldn't see if he was even still breathing. Dread unfurled in his stomach like the darkest raven's wings. He leaped down the bleachers in one fell swoop, not even bothering to look at the astounded people around him. He kneeled beside Wess, his eyes locked on the bruised and bloodied face of the little cat-boy. Sounds of footsteps became clear in his befuddled mind and he turned his head sharply to see some professors rapidly approaching. "Stay back! Get away from him!" he snarled, his eyes flashing brightly. Something in his face or tone must have frightened them enough to get his point across, because they all stopped moving. Sid looked back down at Wess, his shadow covering the broken boy like a blanket. "Wess! Are you alright? Fuck!" he growled that last part to himself, knowing that this had been his fault. Guilt, something he very rarely felt, festered inside and he desperately wished he had the power to go back in time. However, he just couldn't be that fucking lucky.

Wess turned back to Sid and frowned, "Why wouldn't I be?" He muttered, though his voice was a bit weak. He looked over Sid's shoulder and raised his broken arm to point at the top of the bleachers, "You left my tablet...." Though his voice was weak and his breathing was not at all stellar, somehow he managed to be irritated. The little cat boy forced his feet under him, biting back a whine. Okay, maybe he wasn't as okay as he had first thought. Somehow, though, he managed to bring himself to a standing position before gravity and blood loss caught up with him and he started teetering forward again. "Ok, I'm not so okay...." He whispered with his eyes closed and flailed uselessly for something to stop his fall.

He was really focused on his ipad at a time like this?! Sid let out a low warning growl when Wess got to his feet, showing that he disapproved greatly. Then he paused, briefly terrified of how much he'd just acted like Kas for a moment before he noticed his neko about to collapse again. This time, there was no fear of touch. He wrapped his arms lightly around the other boy, afraid to cause pain. He pulled him securely into his arms. It just goes to show that the fact that Sid was younger was irrelevant. Some more shuffling alerted him to more people trying to come closer but one look from him and they halted again real quick. "You stupid, cat-boy," he grumbled, but it was filled very faintly with concern and tinged with borderline affection.

Wess let out a painful sounding purr and leaned closer against Sid, "You get brownie points for not calling me kitty. You lose them for calling me stupid." He whispered before his eyes rolled into the back of his head and he became dead weight in Sidriel's arms.

"I'll show you." Coraline said briefly before reaching out and taking Xav's hand in her own at an angle where she could guide him rather than control him. She loosely led him to dip his fingers in the paint, and then flicked his hand up against the canvas. Globs of acryllic stained onto the canvas, mixing with her own. She let go of his hand and leaned forward so she could see the expression on his face, or, rather his eyes. Coraline was thankful that she could read emotions better than some other people, eyes were the gateway into the mind, and though seeing a smile or a frown helped, it was really the eyes that one needed.
"To hell with that." Kas gave a single laugh and began to dance with his little kitten girl. He held one of her arms out in a waltz position and began to turn and step in time with an imaginary metronome. "Locks are just little pieces of metal - who needs a key when you have a scythe." He twirled her, even though she was stiff bodied probably from shock, but he didn't mind. He worked with her in tangent like water, enjoying the feeling of her smaller hand in his own and the feel of her waist. The street lamp lit them up like a spot light as the streets offered their silence like an awing crowd. "I want mi minette all to myself." He said as he dipped her down, holding her inches above the ground with his body leaning over hers. He looked down in those golden eyes of hers, a wide smile on his face that pushed nearly ear to ear. "At least for a little while..."
