when i first had gamzee, he was like only a month old
and he would climb up on my shoulder and sleep
he would fit on my shoulder
and he would cry if i took him off like screaming cause he was so comfortable
anyway
hes in the same position, on my shoulder
only this time onlly half of him fits
and im thinking
if he continues doing this forever
it wont me long until he'll be layign across my neck to get to his spot XD
this is just me

A low moan escaped the mouth of a thin black furred tom. His black hair covered one eye but the one that was visible was colored a deep bloody red. He rolled it in exasperation as he trailed behind his siblings. He had two sisters, Duckpaw and Fallpaw, who were both snobby and really irritating. All he wanted to do was go sit by himself but they insisted he leave the apprentice's den with him. The dense forest stretched out over head, just another day with little to no sun. That honestly suited, Hemlockpaw just fine. He sat outside the den, curling his skinny black tail over his paws, though his head was hanging down low.
Wriggling his hips, Indigopaw prepared to catch the mouse before him. CourtClan lived inside a large abandoned castle. They had some courtyards and a stream which they hunted in and he was currently in the main courtyard. His attention was fully on the prey. Slowly, paw by paw, he inched forward, whiskers twitching.

Poinsettiapaw woke with a jolt, his breathing slightly ragged and uneven. This had been happening for quite some time now, and every time he would not remember what his dream was about. Slowly, his tension ebbed and he stood up. What time is it? Oh shoot! I was supposed to meet Barnacleface at sunhigh! Uh oh, I'm in trouble.... The young red tom stood, fur on end in a bit of a panic. The side he had been sleeping on was still distressed as he started to bolt out of the apprentice's den. The poor clutz slammed into another cat just outside the den and let out a small yelp. He tried to rise back to his paws, but found himself tangled around the other cat, "I'm sorry! Completely my fault!" He whisper shouted as he failed to untangle himself.
Nightpaw watched Indigopaw with amusement, hiding off to the side in the shadows. Just as the other apprentice was about to pounce, he jumped out of the shadows, "Great form, Indigopaw!" He yowled, obviously startling the mouse as he chuckled when it darted away to safety, "Awe. I'm sorry." He gave a pout and his tone of voice betrayed the fact that he wasn't as sorry as he pretended to be, "Better luck next time, mate!" He smiled again and slinked closer. |

A small grimace left the black furred tom as a body became tangled with his. Hemlockpaw let out a sigh at the other tom's rushed words, recognizing the voice instantly. He twitched an ear at Poinsettiapaw, watching the red tom try to escape their compromised condition. "Be still," he muttered, waiting for the other tom to do as he said. Carefully, with red eyes narrowed in concentration, Hemlockpaw detangled their limbs. Once free, he shook himself and flipped his hair back over his other eye. He didn't know what to say to Poinsettiapaw so instead, he just gazed out into the distance, seemingly dazed. (emo characters... cx)
The sudden voice caused the small white and gray patched tom to jump in shock. Then dismay touched his face as he watched the mouse scamper off. Stonewasp was going to be so angry if he didn't return with any prey! It didn't take long for his disappointment to turn into anger, however, and the tiny tom turned his blazing dark blue gaze on Nightpaw. His tail lashed behind him and he stomped a paw to express his frustration. "What the hell?" he snapped, looking the part of an angry tiger... or at least in his mind. In truth, he looked like a fluffy kit who was throwing a temper tantrum. Real intimidating... not. "I was so close!" he continued, flattening his ears in accusation. Nightpaw ruined what would have been his first catch! Yes, in the three moons that Indigopaw had been a Page, he still hadn't caught a single creature. If he ever hoped to become a Knight, or even a Squire, he would have to work harder.
[ Okay, in CourtClan, they live in a castle and have a King, Queen, and a royal family. - which Nightpaw can be apart of if you wish. The warriors are called Knights and there are two stages of apprenticeship. Page - which is the first level. This is where basic skills are learned and mastered. Then there is Squire - the second level. This is more advanced, where you actually go on missions throughout the kingdom and such. Basically the clan runs smaller groups of rogues, by allowing them to live in abandoned towns all around the castle, making a medieval kingdom type thing. Does that make sense? If not, let me know!
Ex of growth in the clan: We have young Jaykit here.
Page - Jaypaw (he is now 6 moons old and able to start basic battle and hunting training. This is also when he learns about the kingdom he will be sworn to protect and gets familiar with the small villages around the clan's castle)
Squire - Young Jay (he is now at least 8 moons old and has mastered basic skills. He is aware of the kingdom and has gained permission from the King to excel farther in his learning. Most remain being publicly called -paw but the king will refer to them as Young Whatever their prefix is.)
Knight - Jayfang (his mentor chooses a prefix that they think best suits their apprentice in some way, and he is knighted by the King. He is now a full member of the clan and no longer has to obey his mentor completely. He is a free man - so to speak.)
Hopefully that clears some of the confusion up. Oh and the current royalty, is King Ravenleaf and Queen Icebite. The king is the more passive of the two and his queen is rather cruel. They have one son and a daughter - though if you want, Nightpaw can be apart of the royal family, due to an affair or otherwise. Prince Darkpaw (currently a squire) and Princess Pollen (currently a page).
Sorry for all this information, it just came to me for some reason... -shrugs- Possibly because I was watching the newer Robin Hood last night... damn you Russell Crowe! ] |

Poinsettiapaw's fur stood even more on end in his embarrassment as he quickly pulled himself back to his paws. He nodded his head at Hemlockpaw and raised his paw to turn and go, but was caught off guard by noticing the way the small amount of light caught in his fur and the one eye visible. When he realized he had been staring, he let out a startled squeak and bounced back a step or two before opening his mouth to apologize. He shook his head and dipped it instead of speaking before darting off, fur flushed in embarrassment.
"You were! I'm sure if I would've come a few heartbeats later, you would've had it!" He gave a few bounces as he moved closer, feigning excitement and not at all moved by Indigopaw's anger. He grinned and looked around the courtyard, "Perhaps you can try to catch another, Indigopaw?" Very subtly, he emphasized the word try. "Sadly I won't be around to watch." He pouted and slinked around the other apprentice, "Y'know, things to do, cats to harass." He shrugged and started to saunter away, but stopped and turned back around, opening his mouth to make another retort.

Hemlockpaw heard the squeak and turned his head to find the source. What he saw was the red tom scrambling away in what could only be described as terror from this perspective. Sighing softly, he rose to his paws, stretching out a bit before beginning to pad in the direction of Poinsettiapaw. He was interrupted however by the banes of his existence. Otherwise known as his sisters. "Hemlockpaw. Why were you bothering Poinsettiapaw?" Fallpaw questioned with false concern. He just grunted and tried to walk around them but he was halted by the snag of claws in his shoulder fur. His red gaze turned to the golden gazes of his sisters. "Don't interact with the clan!" Duckpaw hissed in faint warning, looking to Fallpaw to see if she did okay. Fallpaw nodded approval of her dumb sister and trailed away with a flick of her tail. Hemlockpaw let out a soft growl under his breath before turning back and catching up to Poinsettiapaw. "...." Silence prevailed, for he had no idea how to socialize his concern for the other tom's hasty retreat. Really, he was just curious as to why he squeaked like he'd seen a ghost or something? Was he really that awful to look at?
"I will catch the largest prey I can find and then you'll see!" Indigopaw responded, lashing his tail indignantly. He despised Nightpaw. He thought because he was a prince, he could bully others. Well at least he wouldn't be king, Darkpaw was oldest and heir to the throne. "Yeah, go harass others, abuse your power," he snarled, though he kept his tone low, as though not to attract the attention of other felines that could be up and about. He figured he could always take some berries and go to the nearest village to trade for some prey, but that always felt like cheating. It was a natural practice in the clan, but you must at least be able to catch prey to become a Squire. Indigopaw glared at Nightpaw, chin tipped in defiance to the bully.
[ Thank you Foxeh! And sure! I figured it could be kind of cute, since technically their relationship would be forbidden due to the fact that Indigopaw, sadly isn't of noble blood. He's the son of a blacksmith that was taken into the clan due to the fact that his uncle is a knight.... -shrugs- I thought it'd be cute, especially if Darkpaw - then Darklaugh, dies and Nightpaw - then a full prince - has to take the throne and they need a queen and Indigopaw - then a knight... maybe.. cx - would be all like depressed and such... Though love will find a way. -nod- ] |

mo idk how aka is going to put up with me and all my injuries XD Poinsettiapaw had been lost in his own thoughts, debating on a very important matter with himself. Slowly he was pulled out of his subconscious and alerted to the proximity of another cat. Another slip-up, Poinsettiapaw? You cannot afford this! He turned to confront his trail, though immediately froze with another small squeak when he saw who it was. Hemlockpaw?! The quiet and shy tom's eyes were the size of the moon as he attempted to process what was going on, What is he even doing here? Doesn't he just normally sit around gloomily? Wait! How do you know what he normally does? He dropped his gaze and once more was drawn into arguing silently with himself, Usually around this time he would move, though not very far... Sometimes all he does is shift the way he sits and flips his overgrown headfur to the other side of his head. You know, his eyes are actually really nice. Not at all as scary as everyone else describes them. He shrugged his shoulders to himself, squeaking and jumping as he realized that in his daze he had lifted his gaze and had spent the last few seconds staring at the tom in front of him. He averted his gaze, snapping his head up to look at the sky, or whatever was over his head, Wait! What if he didn't notice I had been staring and now he thinks I'm weird? Wait! Why do I care what he thinks? Where should I look now? I don't want it to be obvious that I'm obviously not staring--AND OH MY STARCLAN I HAVEN'T SAID ANYTHING I'VE JUST BEEN SQUEAKING! A horrified squeak popped out of his mouth, followed closely by another and he took a step back, WhatdoIdo? WhatdoIdo? WhatdoIdo? Okay. Act. Cool. He paused and tried to compose himself before turning and briskly walking off again, Who am I kidding? I would just make myself look dumber than I already have. On the bright side, I have made such a fool of myself that someone would have to be extremely desperate to follow me now. His pawsteps faltered and he stopped a few short paces away from where he started, "Where was I going?"
Quickly, Nightpaw was once more in Indigopaw's face, his smirk wider than it once was, "Go ahead, Indigopaw." He flicked his tail, "Catch the biggest prey out here." He grinned and sat down, wrapping his tail around his paws. Suddenly, his ears perked and he lifted his paw, "Or..." He started, his voice dripping menacingly, "How about we make a deal?" He had it all planned out in his head. He would defeat Indigopaw with this small game, let the poor page take the bigger catch to his mentor, then Indigopaw would be at his mercy. Stonewasp would be so pleased that his disappointing bundle of fur actually caught something, that he would leave the tom alone for a while.
Of course... There was that pesky fact that Nightpaw had never actually caught anything either... But Indigopaw didn't need to know that. How hard could it actually be?
